OK Catching up -- time to be relevant and up with the times.

Busy at work - learning the new position is challenging for sure. Its gonna be fine. :-)
Dinner tonight with Linda  for Nachos. At least I think its Nachos. Are we still doing that? Its been so long I forgot. Will take some pics either way.

 However, Baseball  is on tonight.
Looking forward to watching. My friends in New York are Red Sox fan so... I will be a Red Sox fan through the Playoffs. My brothers would FREAK knowing this but they'll never read my BLOG :-)

Found a picture of Bro Steve from the fair and Sis. And Lyd was there too took this sweet pic. Its one of my Favorite pictures from recent years.Wish I could find the others from that day.

This past week was a blur. Where did it go? Linda and I went to Capital Bar n Grill the nachos were not notable. It was fine because I did get to hang out with my friend. I miss her lately.
Speaking of.. I miss my sister Lisa. :;(

I think I'm going to make a road trip to St. Louis soon. Besides the Scenic route will be  quite beautiful and well worth the extra time traveling. Oh who am I kidding.. Zooom zoom all the WAY.  Her and I are the Official Candy Tasters for Halloween. EVERY YEAR ALL YEAR LONG.

On Sunday. Lydia and I caught the 10:10 service at West Side Church. We are in the middle of new beginnings and a Fearless series but was still easy for a newcomer to feel welcomed and blessed. Hope she makes the trip from Taylorville more often.

After church went to Petersburg with oldest daughters. Was fun, people were nice that frequent there. Who knew they have cheese plates. haha I just like the beer. Flat breads were decent last trip.  Lydia treated me to a growler? I'm old I don't know proper name but I do know about the 6pack for sure. I'm going to enjoy them ( Cream ale)during world series likely with Robin. Steve too. The 6pack cans -friend's son from Taylorville Illinois designed the Kings cans. Pretty neat. He is proud. Hope he gets the chance to design the new series too;and many to come.

OK. I'm catching up on my blogging. Rose will be so proud. :-) Oh Speaking of Rose... BIG news next week / 7th and 14 December Candle light tours at Isles house. 👸💛💛💜💚

iTS A GRFEAT DAY IN cHICAGO

bEARS WIN. cUBS WIN... lIFE IS GOOD. It sure was a great day Sunday. Watched both Chicago teams win their way with pride. Company was good. Chili like no other.. Was delicious. After I chowed it down I was informed it was venison/jalepino. It was very good if not the best I've had.

Updates... Cubs lost in game 3 c ya next year

 1776 Musical on Friday at the old state capital. So good. Hats off to those guys- fantastic. Sue Marilyn Linda and Rose. Speaking of. We didn't make it to the reenactment in Auburn. Missed Rose but I know she will be busy again very soon,  I like our Pic in the Old state Capital but oh my hips and butt look so big. Hmm whateva.. :( Booooooooooo.

Went golfing last week. Was the most fun I've had in a long time. I need to GOLF again ASAP. Figures the weather is changing. otherwise I would be spending as much time as possible at Longbridge or Brookhills. I wont comment on my score However, the company was fine. I didn't get a selfie I totally forgot, but did get a quick pic of Thomas/Todd .

Doin A New thing

Wedding was beautiful of course. 3 days back and forth to Taylorville. Not a big deal but my dashboard in my car kept flashing a cup of coffee sign and a message to take a break from driving.. HMMMMM Leave me alone car.. If I want to be bossed around I'll get married hahah. J/K because

when my prince finds me he can boss me sometimes :-)  Maybe.. …..here and there... ok 3xweek lol

Traveling to Peoria on 9/25 to volunteer at the fall thingy at WIBUI Christian  radio. Hoping to recruit a couple of friends too. Life is better lived by helping others. Come on girls.. Letzzz go. One more week before the actual Fall fundraiser. 

Looking forward to the coming weekend with Linda and Rose and the other military girls. Play at the old state capital on Friday and Saturday is the cemetery walk in Auburn.

My friends have been commenting that I am not myself lately... not bubbly and smiley and happy. Hmmm … Time to go volunteer and go help someone. Ya know..

 life gets better when you reach out and help someone :-) 

Have been laxed lately on Monday night Nacho's. Last week we had Pulled pork of course 

(Linda's FAV) from the Grill at legacy point at the lake. She reminded me to take a boring pic of nachos. But they were good. Linda also splurged for dessert. I chose to forgo. Anyhow the Bears were playing Monday night Football. Disaster at the end of course.. 

This Nacho Monday- Linda went rogue and ordered Pizza from Dublin Pub. I just had the chips n salsa. There's always next week :-)  

     

Feeling Happy and Bubbly and re-rejuvenated. Daily meditation is a must for me. Keeps me goin. Praise the Lord and Pass the Amunition… :-----)  

Headed to Taylorville- finally

Just a Wake up.. Yes daughter Lydia will marry her prince tomorrow at 4p.m in Taylorville at the Pillars. So excited. Heading over there tonight to practice and help setup. They are likely already preparing. My table is set... Oh and more coolies yeah I lost the others :-) I need several for my friends.

New position at Memorial. So happy. We make plans and God laughs. I'm right where I'm suppose to be. Trying to button up some things on the Website www.yourbestbuddy.org Would like to start seeing some traffic because my friends are ready to get to work helping Seniors soon.

Thank You to Robin and Steve. These two are my friends that will likely end up claiming me on their taxes next year.; They include me for dinner all the time. Steve is the Grill Master and Robin is the famous indoor prepper/- and well the rest of the food maker. Everything I've had has been very very good. And usually they will pack it to go.... :-) Tons of food and I can tell when I get home its been packed with Love -- Thanks Robin.. Steve too he goes the extra mile. I'm so blessed. :-)

Linda- Garage sale in Twin Lakes-- Have fun girl.. Oh my at least its not too hot. Looking forward to Rocky Horror Picture Show with the Military girls. My fav- girls to go see the Arts with and dinner/ anything is fun with these girls. Good Peeps. Marilyn Sue Rose and of course Linda  :-)

Rose is still hanging on she hasn't taken off running yet- she continues to be a GODSEND helping me with Your Best Buddy. Looking forward to the "Light up the Cemetery" at Wimmer cemetery September 29th. In Auburn , IL . Rose will portray Stella "Fern" Alspaugh Hay. Exciting..
I still cant believe I have a "famous" friend. She is famous, she just doesn't know it.

The countdown for Daughter Lydia's wedding has begun.. Oh my I'm getting excited for her and Zack. Working on the prayer that Becky the officiating will include. Very happy that I get to prepare


8 days and a wakeup for Lydia.. So excited for her. She has blessed me with a few more tasks to help with the wedding, I'm grateful because it helps to stay relevant. I know her Dad will be star of the show. Daddy's girl of course.
My dad was for my wedding too. :-) I wish he was here to see hers. But Grandma Millie will be there to support and represent.

A good Week

Rose Birthday was on Thursday. She did it : )We had breakfast at La Peep.It was my honor.. Rose was happy to celebrate. A good sport as I sang Happy Birthday with no cake or no candles.. LOL

After - lunch with my buddy John C. From the National Guard. Been retired for many years now but 

nice to keep in touch. Lunch was at Long bridge golf course. They have Reuben's :-) They are remodeling or building right now  but I def liked the decor and the setting there for sure. 

Friday was Art Spectacular- 20th Anniversary at Washington Park. 

What a wet n muddy mess. Bu truly worth it. Saturday much of the same until after lunch. 

The artists were grateful and in good spirits anyway. Nice people and It was my pleasure to be able to help them out for those 2 days.

2nd Blog-- I'm on a roll now.

3 days and a wakeup for my friend Rose- Her Birthday is Thursday. 

Sunday-West Side Church today- I should have made the 8:45 service, Instead I gave into my snack attack- Wasabi-soy Kettle Chips potato chips which is no big deal at 8:00 am any day of the week is just fine. The only problem with long weekends and holidays is I allow myself to over indulge. Then again Life is short I'm  gonna live for awhile.

Monday-   Rose here to Help with my website today. We are LIVE.. Yaayyyyyy.. THank You sooo much Rose. I cried. Happy Tears. Sophie came to visit today. What a sweet dog she is and she is a super service dog she is well minded and she knows her commands very well.


Linda and I have decided we are going to search out and  quest for the Best Nachos in town. So far our Favorite are Apple bee's Neighborhood Nacho's. I didn't get the picture of them but I'm pretty sure we will be headed back there for a snack soon enough. Food gets redundant and everyone eats so I'll try to keep upbeat about posting Nachos. It's just food. --
Mondays Nachos are from Smokey Bones- Pulled Pork- Linda's Favorite so far. My fave are Apple bees.


Tuesday- waiting to hear from St. Johns Hosp. Praying and believing God. for the PSA positions there.  Hurry - its so long waiting.

Hello My name is Kelly. After spending 22 years in the Military I knew that whatever I would do would have to be pretty cool. After all service to country is pretty high up there. In 2016 I met a new client named Otto. He was 98 years young. We would soon be spending 6 days a week together for about 4 hours each morning having coffee breakfast and most everyday a bunch of card games.

I rarely took a day off because, Well, he was such an intrical part of my day and such a big part of my life. Neighbor turned client turned friend. Otto would celebrate his 100^th Birthday in February of 2018.

Since Otto’s passing in July, I thought it was most appropriate to name my new business “ Your Best Buddy” in the memory of my Buddy who I will always remember. Please feel free to ask and address any questions and you may ask anything :-0 ). I look forward to making more buddies soon.
